For the first time, I pulled up a chair at the spades table, and let's just say... I had a little (okay, a lot) of help figuring out how to play my hands. Thankfully, I was surrounded by patient teachers who kept me in the game while I learned the ropes. Of course, Queenin wasn't making it easy. Between the side conversations, jokes, and playful distractions, she stayed true to herself, but somehow I managed to keep my focus through all the laughs and smack talk.
In the middle of all the fun, we paused to celebrate our community member TeeTee's birthday. Everyone gathered around to sing, share smiles, and cut into a stunning cake that was just as sweet as the moment itself.
The fun didn't stop there. While one table battled it out in spades, the others were deep into rounds of UNO before making the switch over to Sorry. The best part? Nobody stayed in one place for long. People floated from table to table, grabbed a slice of cake, jumped into different games, caught up with friends, and simply enjoyed being together.
